Roma E'festival

PROGRAM and WORKSHOP 2026

COMING SOON

A festival is not just a competition.

It is a place where photographers meet, walk together, argue about images, discover new ways of seeing.

During the Roma ÈFestival, the city becomes a playground for observation, curiosity and unexpected encounters.

For three days Rome will be filled with photographers coming from different backgrounds but sharing the same obsession: looking at the world carefully.

The program includes workshops, photowalks, portfolio reviews and talks.

Different formats, same purpose:

learning from each other.

WORKSHOPS

Street photography cannot truly be taught. But it can certainly be shared.

Our workshops are designed as open laboratories where photographers work alongside experienced instructors to explore the unpredictable theatre of everyday life. No formulas. No rigid rules.

Only observation, discussion, mistakes, intuition, and the constant search for something honest. Because the real lesson in street photography is not technical.

It is learning how to see.

PHOTOWALKS

The best classroom for street photography is the street itself. Photowalks are collective explorations of the city.

No pressure, no competition — just photographers walking together through Rome, attentive to small gestures, coincidences, and fragments of everyday life. Street photography is often a solitary act. But sometimes walking together helps us notice things that might otherwise escape our eyes.

PORTFOLIO REVIEWS

Every photographer eventually faces the same question:

What am I really trying to say with my images?

Portfolio reviews are one-to-one conversations with experienced photographers, editors and curators. Not a judgement. A dialogue.

Participants can present their work, discuss editing and sequencing, and receive honest feedback about their visual language.

Sometimes a single conversation can change the direction of a project.

TALKS

Behind every photograph there is a story.

Talks are moments where photographers share their journeys, doubts, mistakes and discoveries.

No heroic myths.

Just real experiences from people who decided to spend their lives observing the world through a camera.

Because photography is not only about images.

It is also about the ideas and questions that generate them.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Street photography attracts people with different backgrounds, experiences and motivations.

The Roma Èfestival is designed for anyone who feels curious about the world and wants to explore it through photography.

You might feel at home here if you are:

The curious observer

You love watching people, gestures and small everyday scenes.

You may not even call yourself a street photographer yet — but you feel that the city is full of stories waiting to be discovered.

The passionate photographer

You already photograph in the streets and want to improve your ability to anticipate moments, compose images and develop a stronger visual language.

Workshops, photowalks and portfolio reviews are designed exactly for this.

The visual storyteller

You are working on a long-term project and want feedback, dialogue and new perspectives.

Portfolio reviews and talks can help you refine your ideas and push your work further.

The community seeker

Photography can be solitary.

Festivals exist to remind us that we are not alone.

If you enjoy meeting other photographers, exchanging ideas and discovering different ways of seeing the world, this festival is for you.

Street photography is not about being in the right place. It is about being present.
